Dana Gills is Director of Production and Development within the Lionsgate Motion PictureGroup, where she worked and is currently working on films including Uncle Drew, Yasuke (the story of the first black samurai), an English-language version of Instructions Not Included and the Untitled Angela Davis project.
Ms.Gills is a champion of diversity in the entertainment community and works to create more layered portrayals of women and people of color in the industry’s films, television programming and digital content by collaborating with diverse talent. She is the Co-Chair of the Lionsgate Multicultural Employee Resource Group, which advocates for a more inclusive workplace and entertainment landscape through programs that educate, activate and celebrate multicultural
diversity and its global impact.
A veteran of the marketing & advertising worlds, where she worked in various capacities, Ms.Gills kicked off her entertainment industry career by co-creating the Milk & Honey digital series promoting more multifaceted portrayals of black women.
